This team undertakes veracious projects in legal and ethical issues in healthcare, including medico-legal matters and ethical dilemmas affecting medical practice.  The Team is led by Professor Joshua Godwin, who is a voluntary professional. 

 

PROFILE OF PROFESSOR JOSHUA GODWIN (VOLUNTARY PROFESSIONAL):

 

Professor Joshua Godwin LLB (Hons), MPHIL, DMed, FRSPH, ILTM, FHEA - Professor Joshua Godwin is a Professor of Medical Law and Ethics, and he has backgrounds in law and medical research.  His expertise in medical law, ethics and medical education has led to the development of various teaching and learning models in these areas at various medical schools, universities, colleges and organisations internationally. 

 

 

Professor Godwin also has interests in social policy, man-made diseases, social welfare, public administration, electronic patients’ records system including community-based education and research, and medical and healthcare education.  He had also designed many systems on these matters globally. 

He has published materials on medical education, public health medicine, epidemiology, gastroenterology, medical law, medico-legal issues and social medicine. 

 

 

His special interests in electronic patients’ records and informatics has led to many projects in these subjects and produced many research activities and publications in these areas.
