Joint Annual Scientific Meeting and Medical Conference on Progress in Medical Practice – London, UK, 23 – 26 July 2026

Constant progress and innovations have been occurring in medical practice and education internationally for the past decades.   These have been as a result of advances in medical practice worldwide.  In addition, patients have become more informed about their health, and these have resulted in increased in demands and expectations, thereby bringing about the changing roles of the doctors and healthcare workers in society.  There are now needs for healthcare workers to be more involved in teaching and research, as well as in patient care.  Hence the conference on ‘Progress in Medical Practice and Education in the Changing World’ will embrace many topics on the various issues affecting medical practice, research and education.

Please note that the topics stated on the above provisional programme may change and can be presented and sessions taking place on the other days of the conference, as topics are grouped in themes per day.  Please refer to the final programme in the conference pack for the event in due course.  

The format of the conference includes key note speaking/lecture, presentations of research or projects carried by delegates from different parts of the World, workshops, and interactive sessions for all delegates to participate in, and learn together in an informal environment.  There are also plenty of opportunities for networking and making new friends.  The Provisional Programme can be found above.

TOTAL HOURS OF PROCEEDINGS AND TRAINING, EXCLUDING REGISTRATION, TEA/COFFEE BREAKS AND LUNCH:   32 Hours and 30 Minutes for four days (8 Hours and 7+ Minutes Per Day).

NOTES ON INVITED SPEAKERS:

Invited key note speakers and speakers are experienced researchers and scientists who have carried our in-depth studies in any branch of medicine and surgery, including all healthcare matters.

Please note that all invited speakers are required to submit Extended Abstracts of up to 1,200 words to reach us by 5 June 2026.

Please also note that the Joint Events Committee can grant extension of this deadline when there is a compelling reason to do so.  If extension is required, please send in request in writing via E-mail to: conferences@santamariacollege.org.uk

Two Modes of

Attendance/Participation: 

In-Person at the Venue on 23 July 2026 and Online via Zoom on 24 to 26 July 2026 in order to give an opportunity for international delegates to participate in the conference proceedings. 

The selected Joint Conference Centre venue offers excellent meeting and educational facilities. 

It is handy for visiting many attractions and shops in Central London with nearby Stratford Tube Station, served by both the Central and Jubilee London Underground lines, as well as several nearby bus routes.  Guests and families can effortlessly go into Central London and Greater London to some must-see venues such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower of London, Madame Tussauds, multiple National Museums, the London Eye, and many more.

As one of the most historic, largest and beautiful capital cities in the world, London has many attractions and historic cultural sites for delegates and their families to see and enjoy.  Please come and join us in London, England to enjoy this conference with interesting scientific programmes, and opportunities for delegates, accompanying people and families.

Important Notice about the Venue:  

Please note that there may be a possibility that this event can be held online via ZOOM depending on the situation with the COVID – 19 Infection and other infectious diseases, including other factors at the time of the conference.  In which case, updated information will be published on this page.  The mode of the proceedings is hybrid in nature, as there is face to face, as well as online proceedings.  These will be stated on the Final Programme of Proceedings, which will be available by 23 July 2026.

 Accreditation: 

The Conference and educational meetings are accredited by various professional bodies.  So participants will receive attendance certificates, including Continuous Medial Education (CME) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certificates.  The CME and CPD points are between 12 to 48 points or more depending on number of sessions attended.

You can submit your abstract by contacting us via conferences@santamariacollege.org.ukand the Abstract Submission Form will be sent to you to complete and submit. 

Please note that your abstract can be up to 400 words.

Please note that all submitted and accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Official Book of Proceedings, with ISSN and available in the British Library and other libraries internationally.

Participants would also have the opportunity of publishing their full papers in one of the Joint Academies and Associations' Medical Journals if they are of high quality and after going through the double blinded peer review process.

The deadline for submissions of abstract is 31 May 2026.

There are two payment options for conference registration; card payment and bank/wire transfer, as available below:

Important Notice

Please note that if you chose the student rate or the resident doctor rate, you may be asked to please provide evidence that you are a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student or that you are a resident doctor and therefore, eligible for the selected fee.

Please note that there will be competitions for the best research paper and best presentation at the event. The prize winners will be announced at the end of the proceedings and conference.  Certificates of awards will be issued to the prize winners, including the opportunity for them to attend the next conference free of charge of the conference fee, which will be waived for them.
